Every call to the ministry is a call to overcome a problem. Many people have risked their lives trying to overcome the challenges that the mountains present.

 

Revelation 21:7 says that ‘’ He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son’’. From this scripture, you are assured that you will be rewarded for overcoming the problems and challenges that confronted you on earth.

ATTEMPT TO GROW A CHURCH

Achieving church growth is more difficult than becoming a pilot or a medical doctor. Make church growth one of the ambitions of your life because you are destined to multiply. God has given us the Holy Spirit and your church can grow if you allow Him to work through you.

The Bible says in Jeremiah 30:19 ‘’ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I WILL MULTIPLY THEM, and THEY SHALL NOT BE FEW; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small'' This prophecy is clear.

ATTEMPT TO FIGHT FOR GOD

Most of life is a fight to achieve something or fight to overcome something. When you are tired of fighting you are tired of living. Decide that your fight will be a fight for God!

Attempting great things is all about fighting for God, fighting for the church, and fighting for the name of Jesus Christ.

The greatest commandment for us all is to love God. Matthew 22:35-40 tells us to love the Lord with all our hearts, souls, and minds. It is, therefore, a great achievement if you keep to this great commandment as Jesus has instructed.

Loving someone is not as easy as it may seem. If it is that difficult to love someone you can see, how much more difficult will it be to love a God you cannot see!

God does not show us all His plans in a day; they unfold bit by bit. The world and everything that comes with it was created in six days.

God reveals new things to His children as they walk along with Him. What new things are you currently attempting for God? When you are tired of attempting new things, you are tired of living.

ATTEMPT GREAT THINGS FOR GOD NOT FOR YOURSELF

God’s plan for us is to do EXPLOITS. Exploits are bold undertakings which make people believe that God is in you. Exploits are necessary to validate your calling.

Most people spend their lives seeking exploits for themselves and they do not lay hold on these great things that they seek for. As Solomon said, ''All is vanity'' and our personal exploits always amount to nothing at the end.

Preached at the Revival By the Fireside, Apostle Toss gave many reasons and biblical examples on why we should put God first in our quest in achieving exploits.

Prophet Isaiah encouraged us in Isaiah 54:2 to create a larger tent for more people to occupy. The prophecy is truly clear for all who are interested in the visions of God by fulfilling the GREAT COMMISSION. 

What is great to a businessman may not be great to a servant of God. Every time you do great secular things, you reduce your chances of doing great things for God. Great things on earth are not great things for God.

Can't You Do Just A Little Bit More? - Part 1

Until you are in your grave, knocking on the wooden boards of your coffin, there will always be a little bit more that you can do for God.  God is so great that He does not expect much from us but just a little.

Using Jesus Christ as the fundamental example, Apostle Toss described how Jesus spoke extensively about going the extra mile in Matthew 5:39–41. Most Ministers and Christians can do a little bit more for God but simply do what they can get by with.

A little bit more will make a big difference in the work of God and your personal life. Imagine if John had not written his quota of Jesus Christ’s life and ministry? Would we have seen the eternal effects his little efforts had imparted the world today? Instead, he did a little bit more and wrote powerful scriptures like the famous John 3:16, John 1:1, John 10:10 and the like.

Do you know all the cycles of the world are governed by TIME? Are you aware that at the end of your strength, it is time that determines the outcome of your life?

In this series of the Determinant, Apostle Toss will help you understand that time belongs to God and the essence of James 1:17, which says that ''Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning'' is very crucial in our lives.

Time determines many things and you must always be conscious that many things are possible just because they are being done at a certain time.
