LOSING, SUFFERING, SACRIFICING & DYING - Part 1

Be careful in believing the claims that following Jesus is all about getting blessed, rich, and successful. That is not Christianity. From the things Jesus said about becoming His disciple, it almost seemed as though He did not want anyone to follow Him. 

Christianity is about losing, sacrificing, suffering, and dying. These are four spiritual appointments that all Christians must expect in one form or another. 

Beginning a Series on Losing, Sacrificing, Suffering, and Dying, Apostle Toss explains how real these appointments are. ''For whosoever will save his life shall LOSE it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.'' Matthew 16:25.

1 Corinthians 4:2 says ''.....it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful''

The Bible teaches us that the cardinal requirement for leadership is faithfulness (LOYALTY) and not your talent or ability to walk in God.

Loyalty is an indispensable tool for the stability of churches or even your secular business. Picking up disloyalty early on in those around us can prevent disaster later.

Preaching during the Ordination of some Reverend Ministers, Apostle Toss shared some principal reasons why loyalty is so important in our ministry.

THE GREAT BANQUET

God always has a good motive when he invites us to feast with him. All through the Bible, God invites people to come to Him.

''Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.'' Matthew 11:28.

Little things and excuses keep many people away from God. Your land, property, family, or business must not keep you away from God. Unfortunately, many reject the great invitation, therefore many unexpected people will fill the places in Heaven.

You can easily distinguish genuine Christians from fake Christians by looking at their fruits! Bearing fruit proves that you are a real Christian. If, by your spiritual activity, others just like you are brought to the Lord and discipled, then this fruit you are bearing shows that you are real!

But if you have no converts to show for your Christianity, then there must be something missing. Perhaps you are not genuine. Perhaps you are just an attendee. No wonder some so-called Christians are not interested in the Bible or the things of God.
